So, all in all, good week. But as you can see, my son has been "losing it" lately- as in temper tantrums at all costs...he is now trying to tell me things, get what he wants, etc., if he gets scared or impatient, well, he loses it. Anyone else have a 1-year old who loses it? At the end of the day, it is a hard job, but I love it thus far.

My First Week "On the Job"
...Well, my first week staying home was full of long, but great days. My first day, Jacob and I made our way to the Park District to sign up for a Mommy and Me class- "Tot Gym." It starts in November, every Thursday morning through the end of the year. We are excited to learn some new activities, listen to some music, hear fun stories, and meet friends! Mind you, while we were there signing up, Jacob lost it for a minute because he hates wearing his coat...hmmm...hopefully, that is not a preview of our class behavior. The next day, we ran lots of errands: from the grocery store to the doctor's office, and so on. While we were at the grocery store, Jacob also lost it because he no longer wanted to be in the cart nor did he want to be held, he is a walker now, "what walker wants, walker gets..." so he wanted to get down, and off he went running through the aisles...OMG! I have a toddler. It was really cute, (I'm sure the other shoppers thought so maybe for a second, they were over it after that). On Thursday, we made our way to the gym- together- first time at the gym for Jake. I was hesitant when I brought him to the child care because I had no idea how he was going to react...we got there, signed in, he got a name tag that also said "My First Day!" He was interested in all the toys, so off he went, they gave me a beeper for if and when he cried, and off I went to workout, 10-minutes into my cardio, the beeper went off, I went back downstairs, and he was hysterical. They told me he was fine for awhile, but after he realized I was gone...well, he lost it. They told me to keep coming back, eventually he will get used to it...so we will see.

Wow, busy week! Good for you guys for doing so much. I can totally see him running through the grocery store.
Luke was the same way..and at times still is. Wonder that is just boys...or toddlers in general.
Raegan too hates the cart. I can normally get her to sit in the big part of the cart, telling her it's the seat for the big kids. Also try bringing a sheet of stickers. Rae sticks them all over herself. Good luck!
