Though I do not have any pictures to support this post because "firsts" happen so fast, that I typically don't have a camera in my hand at every moment (though, my husband may beg to differ)...here we go...are you ready????
....Jacob Brayden Rojas took his FIRST STEP!!!! AHHH!!! I swear! It happened yesterday. I was on the phone with Rocky, and Jacob and I were just hanging out, all of a sudden, he decided to let go of the table he was holding onto, stood on his own for a few minutes, and tada...took a step...I screamed to Rocky in the phone: "Oh my gosh, you are never going to believe it, Jacob literally JUST AT THIS MOMENT took his first step." Rocky couldn't believe it. I could hear his smile in the phone. He finished up a couple things at work, and made his way home early to share in the excitement. Ummm...but nothing after that. No other steps. That was it. One step thus far...I told Jake just to take his time...mommy and daddy are "fine" with the baby steps (I heard the craziness really begins when they begin walking)...so baby steps it is.
Also, he is now clapping his hands...all the time (I personally am excited for this one- we've been practicing for weeks and I will have to admit sadly, that I was not there when he did his "first" original applause...Grandma Rojas experienced this first).
Words Words Words...does anyone's kids do the mumble jumble of the mouth (not the chattering that they do when they are smaller) but the tongue thing...speaking some baby language...well, he's been at it like crazy...and just this week completed (2) words: Choo Choo train and kiy cat(kitty-cat). And has said them multiple times since.
...oh, the Joys of motherhood really are fantastic. What a week. We should go on vacation more often. I swear everytime we go somewhere, we come home, and he is a new person. Crazy, Fantastic, and absolutely Awesome!

Yeah Jacob! That is crazy. He is so little to start taking steps. I can't wait to see him again.

OMG JACOB!!! YAY! He is going to walk early...what a BOY! Him and Luke are going to be running around before we know it!
