This weekend we enjoyed family time. Friday night, I met Rocky (who just flew in from Texas for business) at Ruth's Chris for Karen's Birthday. My Aunt Debbie Babysat "The Boy." Saturday night, we made our way to the Rojas home- it was Sammy's Birthday (Sammy- Rocky's Brother and Karen-my sis have the same birthday) we joined some of the family for a wonderful lunch. Jacob had a great time playing ball with his #1 BIG COUSIN- Brenden. They are so cute together. Jake really looks up to Brenden (he is 10-years older). Sunday, we made our way downtown to get our "Mason-fix" and to introduce Jacob to his newest cousin. We made some lasagna and brought it over for the new, exhausted family. Jacob, however- really didn't know what to think of such a little baby, but he did try to share his toys with Mason (who was all wrapped up like a little burrito)- this is a great sign- sharing may be just around the corner! Woo-hoo! Jacob and his cousins...
This is the story of the NEW Rojas Family. A tribute to the experiences and challenges of our lives as parents to the 2 Loves of our Lives, Jacob Brayden and Emerson Marie. I am a 30-something new mother living in the Chicago Suburbs, wife of 6-years to my college sweetheart, and after 10-years in the media business, I am now a Stay at Home Mom. This is my life.
