My Boss

From the Office of Mr. Jacob Brayden Rojas

Since I resigned from the media business about 8-months ago, I have been getting to know my NEWEST Boss-more so in the last 8-months since he started getting a hang of this "talking thing"- the demands are quite numerous- "Sit Momma"- "Up Momma"- "Off Momma"- "On Momma"- "hand Momma"- "No Nina!"- "Down Nina!" and on and on and on...and the first thing he says to Grandma in the morning when she comes over is- "Bye Grandma"- (because he doesn't want me to leave) I really am enjoying these new demands though because it is so neat to see Jacob have all these opinions and be so busy with everything- it just makes me laugh all day. Often, you will find us calling Jacob "Karen Jane" - who would be his Aunt- but when she was a Little Girl- she was so full of demands and dislikes...like for instance- Karen Jane (that's what Jacob calls her too- not just Karen, it is her full name) was a tot, she did not like the way her shoes fit her, her tights fit her, her undies fit her, how her seatbelt lay across her lap, etc. etc- well, my son has decided to pick up this fine trait- he DOES NOT like any shoes except for his crocs, he does not like how I put his diapers on sometimes, he does not like to wear hats anymore, and has decided that if he is not sitting on his potty just right, he cannot go- he has decided that he HATES swimming, bathing, brushing his teeth, and Nina trying to cuddle with him- he gets very annoyed with her at times (I'm telling you, he is one busy kid, with one busy life- and no one gets in the way of how he does things- no one! Not even Nina- the cat!) So the things that do keep him busy are as follows: still loves his books, his Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Daisy stickers, watching Mickey Mouse Playhouse, Tigger and Pooh, jumping, running, throwing anything down the stairs, dancing, playing ball, playing with play-dough, wrestling anyone who will participate, catching ants, dumping water, sand, and collecting rocks. All these "activities" make me wonder...am I having another rough and tough Little Boy or am I having a girl? Little Jake is such a boy! And...he's my NEW Boss.

That was so cute! I will tell you that girls are just as demanding, though. Peyton just said "Mommy up, NOWWWWW" right before I read this. No patience, I swear.
We miss you guys
