While in Florida, we took a 2-hour drive to visit Brigid and her 1-month old, Chase. We were so excited to meet him! He is adorable. He is only a little over 7 pounds, but this kid is SO ALERT! He has big bright, beautiful eyes...and he coos so much. Brigid is in heaven with her little angel. It was so sweet to see the two of them together. She is so loving and gentle and proud, it really is an amazing thing to see. Brigid and I have been friends for over 25 years, she is a very busy, successful attorney (as well as her husband, David) and her career is booming. But, to see her with her son, Chase, it melts your heart...motherhood was made for her.
We were fortunate enough to make the trip with her mother, Kathy as well...Chase is the 1st Grandchild fortheir family, and what a proud Grandma. It was so great to see our moms together with their Grandsons...it really was a very memorable occassion.
I never imagined the day Brigid and I hanging out with our sons together...so sweet.
I cannot get over how big my baby looks compared to the 1-month old...crazy. Jacob loved looking at the baby. We were able to see her nursery, take a walk with the babies through the neighborhood
and all have a nice lunch.
On the trip home, we took Jacob to a medical center in Naples to get his ears checked, and yes he had an ear infection, we needed to get him on medicine right away so we would be able to fly home peacefully days later...crazy day. Though it was a crazy day, we were so glad we were able to do it. Great to meet you, Chase Donovan!
