We had a nice family weekend. On Saturday, we decided to take Jacob downtown for his 1st trip to the BIG CITY. We spent the afternoon at the Chicago's Children's Museum at Navy Pier. Before we made the trip, I did some "googling" to find places that were "fun" for babies Jacob's age...this was one of them. I'm not the biggest fan of Navy Pier- the crowds, the tourists, the crowds...but, The Museum's website boasted its Infant Play Areas...so off we went!
It was fun. Nothing crazy, but Jake had a chance to crawl around and explore in a safe (I don't even want to think about the germs, however), educational environment.

He had a great time also just looking, going down slides, and touching different things.
The weather for a June Day was awful, we were all bundled up as we walked outside the Pier later that afternoon to get to a restaurant. That evening we dined at Riva's- a nice view of the city and Lake Michigan. The food was okay. Jacob was in great spirits and besides his usual sweet potatoes, green beans, and a fruit, he also indulged in his favorite treat... bread, bread, bring on the bread. Jakey is just like his mama- loves his carbs.
On the ride home, Jacob fell fast asleep, and off we went home to Grandma and Grandpa's and when we arrived he was awake and happy as a lark- smiling and flashing his big hazel eyes for Gram and Grandp as if saying "Guess what I did"...he is such a treat for them. It was a great Rojas Family Day in the city.
HERE'S A TREAT- There is a little "Guess Who this is" at the end of this Post-Please note the last picture of this post...can you guess who that is????

That looks like so much fun! I want to take Sophia there, what a great idea. Me and Nick looked at it and saw it was Rocky...LOL. So cute. Nice pics.
