Baby's 1st 4th of July

I can never decide what my favorite Holiday is...it is a close one between Christmas, Halloween, and the 4th of July. Well, so far, Jacob has been able to enjoy the latter the most- since he is almost 10-months old. We had such a wonderful, yet busy weekend. We made sure we were able to see all of our favorite people, and experience what this "Summer" has to offer...(even though, the actual 4th was ANOTHER Rainy day). Jacob enjoyed all. We kicked off the weekend at the Palatine Fest and ended the evening at the Stanczaks Home watching the fireworks. It was a wonderful evening. There were 6 Kids!!!! Jacob is no longer the youngest- the two Littlest ones joined us and were cute as pie. Jacob had fun hanging with the "bigger kids" (so weird to say)- Sophia and Peyton (both almost exactly the same age as Jake) and looking up to Luke (who is almost 3)- Jake has a lot of catching up to do to hang with the "Big Dogs." He had a great time at the festival- playing on the blanket, eating, and watching people. Later on, he enjoyed the walk back, and stayed up just a little too late...the pictures don't lie!!!

The 4th of July we headed over to the Parade where Jacob enjoyed the old cars, fire engines, football players, cheerleaders, and even a car with Elmo!!!! Jacob also caught a Beach Ball- his favorite toy yet!We spent the morning with Rocky's siblings and had a Summer BBQ back at our house. We also ran into my parents at the Barrington Brat Tent...Jacob was so EXCITED to see his Grandma and Grandpa. Later that evening, Grandma Rojas watched Jake, while Rocky and I enjoyed some adult time in celebration of the Holiday...we were able to visit Jackie, Kevin, and Ryan's new home- it is beautiful.

On Sunday, we picked Jacob up at Grandma's and headed over to Auntie Laura's and Uncle Perry's where Jake showed off his swimming in their new pool. It was wonderful to see the Rossis and The Smileys. After that, well...we were pooped. Bedtime at the Rojas Home could not come too soon.. It was a wonderful "Baby's 1st 4th!

How fun! And the more pics I see of Jacob the more I think he looks like your dad. I can really see that now - he's getting so big!!
