A Day at the Zoo (About a Month ago)

...I'm a bit behind on my posts, but about a month ago (March 2010)- Jacob, myself, Aunt Karen, Audra, Baby Gavin, Aunt Loren, and Baby Mason all made our way to the Lincoln Park Zoo- it was the first nice day of the year, still Spring Break time, and pretty much everyone else who had off that day also had the same idea...to go to the zoo. Needless to say, it was overcrowded, not all of the animals were "out" yet- they weren't coming out of their dens for any sort of pictures, and parking was a nightmare. We did enjoy a nice day all of us together, but with (2) newborns, we were making some stops for feeding time...so Jacob and I made our way to the petting zoo, where he got so excited, and was running back and forth between the horses and the cows- and completely "wiped out" scraping both of his knees- his 1st boo-boos (with blood and all)- ever since then, his boo-boos recovered, but his knees have been getting lots of scrapes lately with all of his running and climbing, so he enjoys showing everyone his boo-boos now- he is very proud of his "battle scars." We look forward to more visits to the zoo- I think we are going to just stick to Brookfield from now on...to avoid any parking woes and the over-ridiculous crowds.
