Baby's 1st Haircut

...(once again, really LATE on this post)-About a month ago, we were about done with Jacob's crazy waves and colic that would not lay nicely on his head. We are talking "crazy hair" on a regular basis. I wanted to put off Jacob's haircut until the bottom would get longer with more curls at the end (something about Little Boys and curls)- but my patience could wait no longer. One day, Rocky and I decided to take Jacob to get his "1st haircut" at "Cartoon Cuts" in Kildeer. It is an over-priced haircut, really. But, since it was his 1st- we wanted to make it special. "Cartoon Cuts" has TVs at all of its stations, so the kids can pick which cartoon they want to watch. Jacob chose Elmo, and the fun would soon begin. But, lets take one step back for a second. When we first walked into the salon, we walked into a screaming, very unhappy little customer (Little 4-year old boy) - like screaming at the top of his lungs. It was awful. We thought, maybe this is a sign, and today's not the day. Rocky was ready to turn around, he immediately had a bad feeling about the place. But, our "Little Customer" was fine. He was sucking on his lollipop- watching the little boy and pointing- but just as calm as can be. So I thought, well, lets see what happens, if he's not happy, we will leave. When it was Jacob's turn...he sat down in his chair, started watching Elmo, and continued to suck on his lollipop without a care in the world. So it began. And, I mean, IT began. Rocky and his "very specific haircut directions" to the "stylist"- "not too short here, not around his ears like that, oh, no- no like that, what are you doing?!" That's just a "taste" of what Jacob and I had to endure during the 1st haircut experience. Rocky was VERY concerned about the stylist, he really felt she did not have enough credentials to cut his kid's hair. OMG!!!! IT WAS CRAZY. SO-I attached a video of proof- check out the argument between the Dad and the stylist....

All in all, after Rocky's VERY strict instructions and the stylist paying VERY close attention, Jacob's hair looked just adorable, and the "crazy hair" is now in a little baggy in his Baby Book. Whew....crazy 1st haircut experience.
