...Well, this is quite a late post...last month, we were thrilled to take a nice getaway to Puerto Rico, and I was so excited to be there!!! I've always wanted to visit Puerto Rico, see the beaches, feel the weather, drink their Pina Coladas (the original coladas come from Puerto Rico), walk the rain forests, and experience their amazing culture. Talk about Latin Lovers...the locals seem very happy to me. Very friendly, and just kind of in love with life. The men and women are all so beautiful. Also- you know, samba dancing also originated in Puerto Rico (well, I didn't know that)- but, I really think that's what keeps everyone there stay so young, feeling alive, fit, and and feelin' sexy! Even me- (2 left foot girl)- wanted to samba- ! Our trip was short and sweet. We left on a Thursday and came back on a Sunday, but it was just nice for the two of us to get away alone. We stayed at the Hotel Caribe in San Juan (a Hilton Hotel) I had my time laying out and sleeping in, and Rocky got his "adventure"- we took a 6-hour hike through the rain forest one day- so we were all happy (most of the time, I could have done without the 6-hour hike through the rain; hence, the "rainforest"). This post includes pictures of our views from the hotel, some "date nights," and beach pics. My next post will include pics of JUST the rainforest (b/c that was a story in of itself). It was a nice little getaway. (By the time we got home, I had MISSED Jacob SO MUCH!!!! He had a nice weekend with Grandma Rojas while we were gone). I look forward to visiting the island of Puerto Rico again in the next few years (since Rocky visits a couple times a year for work).

A local restaurant ...Old San Juan (again)

Though Rocky is a bit cut off in this pic- it was the best one we could get of the 2 of us here. (view from our room)

This is at a really fantastic Asian Fusion Restaurant (@ our Hotel)- the ambiance, decor, and location outside made you feel like you were in an actual Rainforest.

This looks nothing like me (I think/hope)- but this was in "Old San Juan"- the downtown area is like streets in a European city/town. Narrow and winding, up and down hills with restaurants and shops on each side.
