Karen Jane's Baby Shower

Mommy and Daddy to be~

It is ALMOST official...the name of the 1st Granddaughter is going to be Alyssa Jane Devich (I mean, Karen just ordered the letters for the name to hang in the nursery, I am assuming this is official). Whatever they decide, we cannot wait to meet her! Last weekend, we celebrated the upcoming arrival of Karen and Jared's Little Girl with her BABY SHOWER. The shower was hosted by Loren, my mom, and myself. It was at my parents' house by the pool (which is exactly what Karen wanted). Karen's in-laws made it in for the big event and so did most of her friends and our relatives. We had a wonderful day (a little warm, but beautiful). Everyone enjoyed a nice lunch, drinks, and dessert. Karen enjoyed TONS of Little Girly gifts for (Alyssa) the baby. Karen received (2) pad/diaper cakes. The diaper cake is pretty self-explanatory, but the "pad" cake is as well...if you think about it. Loren (who just gave birth almost 5-months ago) wanted to make sure the new mama would be fully prepared as well. Karen has a cake full of pads all for herself after she gives birth. Hahaha! Poor Karen. Oh, well, it is all worth it- we cannot wait for THE PRINCESS to arrive! The Devich Family is now all set to welcome their little princess into this world in a few short weeks.
